Newburg Wolves (Newburg, MO) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Houston Tigers (Houston, MO), 71-50 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Newburg upgrades its record to 5-2 on the season. The Wolves travel to Steelville (Steelville, MO) to clash with the Cardinals in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 4. The Cardinals go into the bout with a record of 3-6. Steelville won 51-36 in their recent non-league bout against Pacific (Pacific, MO)

Next up, the Tigers clash with the Summersville Wildcats (Summersville, MO) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 5. Houston will attempt to upgrade on its 1-7 season record.
