The Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg Fighting Saints basketball team (Kerkhoven, MN), was nudged 71-65 in Tuesday's league battle with the visiting New London-Spicer Wildcats (New London, MN)
The Wildcats now sport a 6-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Rockford for a non-league battle on Friday, January 5. New London-Spicer will battle a Rockets team coming off a 64-52 league loss to Southwest Christian (Chaska, MN). The Rockets record now stands at 6-5.
The Fighting Saints (5-4) will now prepare for their battle against Paynesville (Paynesville, MN). The Bulldogs come into the AA Section 3 battle with a 6-4 record. In their last battle, Paynesville edged Holdingford (Holdingford, MN), 65-40, in a non-league battle.
