Tennessee High School Basketball - Loretto crushes Wayne County

January 2, 2024: Loretto, TN 38469

Loretto Mustangs (Loretto, TN) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Wayne County Wildcats (Waynesboro, TN), 69-43 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Loretto upgrades its record to 10-3 on the season. The Mustangs travel to Lawrence County (Lawrenceburg, TN) to play the Wildcats in a non-league bout on Friday, January 5. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 12-3. Lawrence County won 62-45 in their recent non-league bout against Rockvale (Rockvale, TN)

Next up, the Wildcats play the Hughes Lions (Clifton, TN) in a 1A District 11 bout, on Friday, January 5. Wayne County will attempt to upgrade on its 11-5 season record. The Lions go into the bout with a 7-4 record after their 67-46 non-league loss to Mt. Pleasant (Mt. Pleasant, TN).
