Mt. St. Joseph Academy Green Wave (Rutland, VT) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Mill River Minutemen (North Clarendon, VT), 52-44 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Mt. St. Joseph Academy upgrades its record to 3-5 on the campaign. The Green Wave travel to Mt. Abraham (Bristol, VT) to play the Eagles in a non-league bout on Friday, January 5. The Eagles come into the bout with a record of 2-5. Mt. Abraham lost 55-44 in their recent non-league bout against Randolph (Randolph, VT)

Next up, the Minutemen play the Long Trail (Dorset, VT) in a Southern Vermont - D bout, on Friday, January 5. Mill River will attempt to upgrade on its 2-5 season record. The come into the bout with a 3-2 record after their 51-50 league loss to Arlington Memorial (Arlington, VT).
