The Oakes Tornadoes routed the visiting South Border co-op [Wishek/Ashley] Mustangs basketball team by a final score of 60-38 in Tuesday's non-league game.
In their next game, the Tornadoes face the Barnes County North co-op [North Central/Wimbledon-Courtenay] Bison (Rogers, ND) in a B District 1 game, on Tuesday, January 9. Oakes will attempt to move on its 3-2 season record. The Bison enter the game with a 3-3 record after their 75-54 non-league win over Valley City (Valley City, ND).
With the defeat, South Border co-op [Wishek/Ashley] moves to 1-2 on the year. The Mustangs travel to Herreid/Selby (Herreid, SD) to battle the Wolverines in a non-league battle on Monday, January 8. The Wolverines come into the battle with a record of 1-5.
