Nebraska High School Basketball - Plainview fells Summerland [Clearwater/Ewing/Orchard]

January 2, 2024: Clearwater, NE

Plainview Pirates (Plainview, NE) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Summerland [Clearwater/Ewing/Orchard] Bobcats (Clearwater, NE), 50-41 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Plainview upgrades its record to 7-3 on the season. The Pirates host Neligh-Oakdale (Neligh, NE) to play the Warriors in a non-league bout on Friday, January 5. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 1-8. Neligh-Oakdale lost 69-23 in their recent non-league bout against Lutheran-Northeast (Norfolk, NE)

Next up, the Bobcats play the North Central Knights (Bassett, NE) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, January 4. Summerland [Clearwater/Ewing/Orchard] will attempt to improve on its 8-2 season record. The Knights come into the challenge with a 3-6 record after their 52-28 non-league loss to St. Paul (St. Paul, NE).
