Spirit Lake Indians (Spirit Lake, IA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Pocahontas Indians (Pocahontas, IA), 73-59 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Spirit Lake upgrades its record to 3-4 on the season. The Indians travel to Spencer (Spencer, IA) to play the Tigers in a Lakes bout on Friday, January 5. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 4-3. Spencer lost 51-47 in their recent non-league bout against Newell-Fonda (Newell, IA)

Next up, the Indians play the Newell-Fonda Mustangs (Newell, IA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 5. Pocahontas will attempt to upgrade on its 0-8 season record. The Mustangs go into the bout with a 5-7 record after their 51-47 non-league win over Spencer (Spencer, IA).
