The Point Pleasant Boro Panthers basketball team scored 75 points and held the visiting Toms River South Indians to 62 in the Panthers non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Panthers now sport a 5-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to St. John-Vianney for a non-league contest on Friday, January 5. Point Pleasant Boro will battle a Lancers team coming off a 53-48 non-league loss to Middletown South (Middletown, NJ). The Lancers record now stands at 2-4.
The Indians (6-2) will now prepare for their contest against Central Regional (Bayville, NJ). The Golden Eagles enter the non-league contest with a 5-3 record. In their last contest, Central Regional ran past Ranney (Tinton Falls, NJ), 62-46, in a non-league contest.
