Valley View Cougars (Archbald, PA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Wallenpaupack Area Buckhorns (Hawley, PA), 65-60 in a league bout.

With the win, Valley View upgrades its record to 10-0 on the season. The Cougars travel to Scranton (Scranton, PA) to play the Knights in a Lackawanna 1 bout on Friday, January 5. The Knights go into the bout with a record of 8-2. Scranton lost 69-45 in their recent league bout against Abington Heights (Clarks Summit, PA)

Next up, the Buckhorns play the Delaware Valley Warriors (Milford, PA) in a Lackawanna 2 bout, on Friday, January 5. Wallenpaupack Area will attempt to upgrade on its 5-4 season record.
