The Tigers now possess a 16-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lefors for a 1A Region I District 1 battle on Friday, January 5. McLean will confront a Pirates team coming off a 46-35 league loss to Follett (Follett, TX). The Pirates record now stands at 3-9.

The Matadors (1-6) will now prepare for their battle against Texline (Texline, TX). The Tornadoes come into the 1A Region I District 3 battle with a 16-6 record. In their last battle, Texline trounced Raton (Raton, NM), 88-8, in a non-league battle.
