Berthold Bombers (Berthold, ND) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Bishop Ryan Lions (Minot, ND), 57-51 in a league bout.

With the win, Berthold upgrades its record to 5-1 on the season. The Bombers host Surrey (Surrey, ND) to play the Mustangs in a B District 8 bout on Thursday, January 4. The Mustangs go into the bout with a record of 7-3. Surrey won 55-39 in their recent league bout against Mohall/Lansford/Sherwood (Renville, ND)

Next up, the Lions play the Harvey Hornets (Harvey, ND) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 4. Bishop Ryan will attempt to upgrade on its 1-7 season record. The Hornets go into the bout with a 2-6 record after their 62-54 non-league loss to Glenburn (Glenburn, ND).
