The Hondo Owls (Hondo, TX) basketball crushed the visiting Comfort Bobcats/Deer (Comfort, TX), 43-17 in Tuesday's non-league test.

The Owls (12-7) will now prepare for their test against Cotulla (Cotulla, TX). The Cowboys go into the 3A Region IV District 28 test with a 2-11 record. In their last test, Cotulla was trounced by George West (George West, TX), 46-22, in a non-league test.

The Bobcats/Deer now own a 1-11 record. They play next when they travel to Brady for a 3A Region I District 5 test on Friday, January 5. Comfort will encounter a Bulldogs squad coming off a 38-25 non-league loss to Irion County (Mertzon, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 9-16.
