The Longhorns now possess a 14-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Goliad for a 3A Region IV District 29 battle on Friday, January 5. George West will battle a Tigers team coming off a 41-35 non-league loss to Skidmore-Tynan (Skidmore, TX). The Tigers record now stands at 7-14.

The Cowboys (2-11) will now prepare for their battle against Hondo (Hondo, TX). The Owls come into the 3A Region IV District 28 battle with a 12-7 record. In their last battle, Hondo trounced Comfort (Comfort, TX), 43-17, in a non-league battle.
