The Red Lake County Central Mustangs basketball team (Oklee, MN), was routed 60-36 in Tuesday's league battle with the visiting Fertile-Beltrami Falcons (Fertile, MN)

The Falcons now sport a 5-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Warren-Alvarado-Oslo for a A Section 8 battle on Thursday, January 4. Fertile-Beltrami will battle a Ponies team coming off a 66-53 league loss to Kittson Central/Lancaster (Hallock, MN). The Ponies record now stands at 7-4.

The Mustangs (1-8) will now prepare for their battle against Mahnomen/Waubun (Mahnomen, MN). The Thunderbirds come into the A Section 8 battle with a 3-7 record. In their last battle, Mahnomen/Waubun was routed by Lake Park-Audubon (Lake Park, MN), 60-37, in a non-league battle.
