The Gruver Greyhounds tipped the visiting Vega Longhorns basketball team by a final score of 47-42 in Tuesday's non-league game.

In their next game, the Greyhounds face the West Texas Comanches (Stinnett, TX) in a 2A Region I District 1 game, on Friday, January 5. Gruver will attempt to move on its 2-7 season record. The Comanches enter the game with a 10-8 record after their 45-36 non-league loss to Sanford-Fritch (Fritch, TX).

The Longhorns now own a 8-15 record. They play next when they travel to Boys Ranch for a 2A Region I District 3 test on Friday, January 5. Vega will encounter a Roughriders squad coming off a 72-15 non-league win over Channing (Channing, TX). The Roughriders record now stands at 7-7.
