The Monticello Sages tipped the visiting Hoopeston Cornjerkers basketball team by a final score of 40-34 in Tuesday's non-league game.

In their next game, the Sages face the Bloomington Central Catholic Saints (Bloomington, IL) in a Illini Prairie game, on Thursday, January 4.
