North Carolina High School Basketball - Porter Ridge routs Monroe

In Tuesday's non-league outing, the Porter Ridge Pirates (Indian Trail, NC) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Monroe Redhawks (Monroe, NC), by a count of 62-19.

The Pirates (10-4) will now prepare for their outing against Marvin Ridge (Waxhaw, NC). The Mavericks go into the 4A Southern Carolina outing with a 11-3 record. In their last outing, Marvin Ridge smashed Nation Ford (Fort Mill, SC), 70-39, in a non-league outing.

The Redhawks now hold a 2-5 record. They play next when they host Sun Valley for a non-league outing on Wednesday, January 3. Monroe will clash with a Spartans squad coming off a 73-60 non-league loss to Albemarle (Albemarle, NC). The Spartans record now stands at 7-6.
