Rainier Mountaineers (Rainier, WA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Mountain View Thunder (Vancouver, WA), 51-29 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Rainier upgrades its record to 3-0 on the season. The Mountaineers host Winlock (Winlock, WA) to confront the Cardinals in a 2B Central challenge on Wednesday, January 3. The Cardinals come into the challenge with a record of 1-2. Winlock lost 56-27 in their recent non-league challenge against Rochester (Rochester, WA)

Next up, the Thunder confront the Hood River Valley Eagles (Hood River, OR) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, January 4. Mountain View will attempt to improve on its 10-2 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 4-4 record after their 54-45 league loss to Canby (Canby, OR).
