San Diego Cavers (San Diego, CA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Santana Sultans (Santee, CA), 54-37 in a non-league bout.

With the win, San Diego upgrades its record to 4-4 on the season. The Cavers travel to Granite Hills (El Cajon, CA) to clash with the Eagles in a non-league bout on Wednesday, January 3. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 0-4. Granite Hills lost 67-31 in their recent non-league bout against Patrick Henry (San Diego, CA)

Next up, the Sultans clash with the Monte Vista Monarchs (Spring Valley, CA) in a bout, on Tuesday, January 9. Santana will attempt to upgrade on its 4-3 season record. The Monarchs go into the bout with a 8-6 record after their 59-58 non-league win over West Hills (Santee, CA).
