Michigan High School Basketball - 21st Century Charter thwarts Renaissance

The crowd at Thursday's non-league challenge between the 21st Century Charter Cougars (Gary, IN) and the host Renaissance Phoenix (Detroit, MI), observed 21st Century Charter's basketball team knock off Renaissance by a score of 86-77.
The Cougars (8-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Lighthouse College Prep Academy (Gary, IN). The Lions come into the non-league challenge with a 3-11 record.
In their next game, the Phoenix encounter the Southeastern Jungaleers (Detroit, MI) in a Detroit Public I challenge, on Tuesday, January 7. Renaissance will attempt to improve on its 4-5 season record. The Jungaleers come into the challenge with a 1-8 record after their 62-57 non-league loss to East English Village Prep (Detroit, MI).
