Arizona High School Basketball - Valley Christian can't hold off Canyon

January 2, 2025: Chandler, AZ 85226

Canyon Comanches (Anaheim, CA) boosters left the game satisfied Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the host Valley Christian Trojans (Chandler, AZ), 87-85 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Canyon upgrades its record to 12-3 on the year. The Comanches travel to Davis (Kaysville, UT) to face the Darts in a non-league match on Friday, January 3. The Darts enter the match with a record of 9-2. Davis won 62-35 in their recent non-league match against Apollo (Glendale, AZ)

The Trojans now sport a 8-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Globe for a 3A Central match on Tuesday, January 7. Valley Christian will face a Tigers squad coming off a 57-32 non-league win over Benson (Benson, AZ). The Tigers record now stands at 13-6.
