Next, the Lions encounter the Baker Buffaloes (Baker, LA) in a 2A District 8 test, on Tuesday, January 7. Capitol will attempt to improve on its 6-13 season record. The Buffaloes come into the test with a 6-11 record after their 71-38 non-league loss to West Feliciana (St. Francisville, LA).

The Bulldogs (7-14) will now prepare for their test against Teurlings Catholic (Lafayette, LA). The Rebels come into the non-league test with a 12-5 record. In their last test, Teurlings Catholic bounced Church Point (Church Point, LA), 33-31, in a non-league test.
