The crowd at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Umatilla Vikings (Umatilla, OR) and the host Cascade Christian Challengers (Medford, OR), observed Umatilla's basketball team overcome Cascade Christian by a score of 60-50.

The Vikings (8-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Stanfield (Stanfield, OR). The Tigers come into the non-league challenge with a 7-4 record.

In their next game, the Challengers battle the Douglas Trojans (Winston, OR) in a 3A Far West challenge, on Thursday, January 9. Cascade Christian will attempt to improve on its 4-3 season record.
