The crowd at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Cesar Chavez Champions (Laveen, AZ) and the host Somerset Academy Losee Lions (North Las Vegas, NV), observed Cesar Chavez's basketball team overwhelm Somerset Academy Losee by a margin of 73-52.
The Champions (6-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Santa Barbara (Santa Barbara, CA). The Dons come into the non-league challenge with a 11-3 record. In their last challenge, Santa Barbara trounced Tucson High Magnet School (Tucson, AZ), 53-52, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Lions battle the Amplus Academy Archers (Las Vegas, NV) in a 4A Desert challenge, on Monday, January 6. Somerset Academy Losee will attempt to better on its 6-5 season record.
