In Thursday's non-league battle, the visiting Chalmette Owls basketball squad scored a nice 53-38 victory over the South Lafourche Tarpons.
With the victory, Chalmette advances its record to 6-13 on the year. The Owls travel to St. Amant (St. Amant, LA) to meet the Gators in a non-league battle on Friday, January 3. The Gators enter the battle with a record of 16-17. St. Amant won 67-30 in their recent non-league battle against Amite (Amite, LA)
The Tarpons now own a 13-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Willow for a non-league battle on Friday, January 3. South Lafourche will meet a Lions squad coming off a 39-24 non-league loss to Regis (New York, NY). The Lions record now stands at 7-11.
