New Mexico High School Basketball - Cibola nips St. Pius X

In Thursday's non-league contest, the visiting Cibola Cougars basketball team scored a close 68-63 triumph over the St. Pius X Sartans.
The Cougars (4-2) will now prepare for their contest against Del Norte (Albuquerque, NM). The Knights go into the non-league contest with a 5-3 record. In their last contest, Del Norte nipped Grants (Grants, NM), 59-54, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Sartans battle the Grants Pirates (Grants, NM) in a non-league contest, on Friday, January 3. St. Pius X will attempt to better on its 7-3 season record. The Pirates go into the contest with a 4-2 record after their 50-47 non-league win over Rehoboth Christian (Rehoboth, NM).
