In Thursday's non-league test, the Neshoba Central Rockets (Philadelphia, MS) basketball squad trounced the host Delta Streets Academy Lions (Greenwood, MS), by a score of 80-47.

Next, the Rockets encounter the Ridgeland Titans (Ridgeland, MS) in a 6A Region 2 test, on Friday, January 3. Neshoba Central will attempt to improve on its 7-8 season record. The Titans come into the test with a 15-3 record after their 70-62 league loss to Columbus (Columbus, MS).

The Lions (9-6) will now prepare for their test against Marshall Academy (Holly Springs, MS). The Patriots come into the non-league test with a 0-3 record. In their last test, Marshall Academy was routed by Starkville Academy (Starkville, MS), 44-37, in a non-league test.
