Maine High School Basketball - Wells nips Freeport

In Thursday's non-league contest, the host Wells Warriors basketball team scored a close 51-48 triumph over the Freeport Falcons.
The Warriors (2-4) will now prepare for their contest against Yarmouth (Yarmouth, ME). The Clippers go into the B South contest with a 5-3 record. In their last contest, Yarmouth nipped Cape Elizabeth (Cape Elizabeth, ME), 69-49, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Falcons battle the Massabesic Mustangs (Waterboro, ME) in a A South contest, on Saturday, January 4. Freeport will attempt to better on its 1-6 season record. The Mustangs go into the contest with a 2-6 record after their 71-41 league loss to Kennebunk (Kennebunk, ME).
