In Thursday's non-league contest, the visiting Harvard-Westlake Wolverines basketball team scored a close 57-54 triumph over the Perry Pumas.
The Wolverines (16-1) will now prepare for their contest against Gonzaga (Washington, DC). The Eagles go into the non-league contest with a 11-1 record. In their last contest, Gonzaga nipped Sunnyslope (Phoenix, AZ), 69-53, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Pumas battle the Sunnyslope Vikings (Phoenix, AZ) in a non-league contest, on Friday, January 3. Perry will attempt to better on its 13-1 season record. The Vikings go into the contest with a 8-5 record after their 85-64 non-league loss to San Ramon Valley (Danville, CA).
