The Kirtland Hornets basketball team scored 88 points and limited the visiting Lakeside Dragons to 51 in the Hornets non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Hornets now possess a 3-3 record. They play next when they travel to Cuyahoga Heights for a non-league game on Tuesday, January 7. Kirtland will confront a Red Wolves team coming off a 47-43 league loss to Fairview (Fairview Park, OH). The Red Wolves record now stands at 5-4.

With the loss, Lakeside falls to 1-6 on the campaign. The Dragons travel to South (Willoughby, OH) to confront the Rebels in a non-league game on Saturday, January 4. The Rebels go into the game with a record of 1-7. South lost 74-42 in their recent non-league game against Garfield Community Learning Center (Akron, OH)
