In Thursday's league test, the Medomak Valley Panthers (Waldoboro, ME) basketball squad defeated the visiting Spruce Mountain Phoenix (Jay, ME), by a final score of 55-43.

Next, the Panthers clash with the Camden Hills Windjammers (Rockport, ME) in a non-league test, on Saturday, January 4. Medomak Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 7-0 season record. The Windjammers come into the test with a 3-4 record after their 77-51 league win over Messalonskee (Oakland, ME).

The Phoenix (7-1) will now prepare for their test against Lake Region (Naples, ME). The Lakers come into the B South test with a 2-3 record. In their last test, Lake Region went down by Medomak Valley (Waldoboro, ME), 65-40, in a league test.
