California High School Basketball - Sonora held off by Merced

In Thursday's non-league test, the Merced Bears (Merced, CA) basketball squad got by the host Sonora Wildcats (Sonora, CA), by a score of 53-49.

Next, the Bears encounter the Bear Creek Bruins (Stockton, CA) in a non-league test, on Tuesday, January 7. Merced will attempt to improve on its 9-7 season record. The Bruins come into the test with a 8-5 record after their 64-55 non-league loss to Wood (Vacaville, CA).
