Nebraska High School Basketball - Perkins County overwhelms Mitchell

The Perkins County Plainsmen basketball team scored 68 points and limited the visiting Mitchell Tigers to 47 in the Plainsmen non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Plainsmen now have a 7-1 record. They play next when they travel to Leyton for a non-league game on Saturday, January 4. Perkins County will confront a Warriors team coming off a 51-48 non-league loss to Hemingford (Hemingford, NE). The Warriors record now stands at 2-5.

With the loss, Mitchell falls to 5-4 on the campaign. The Tigers host Gordon-Rushville (Gordon, NE) to confront the Mustangs in a non-league game on Friday, January 10. The Mustangs go into the game with a record of 2-5. Gordon-Rushville lost 77-21 in their recent league game against Kimball (Kimball, NE)
