In Thursday's non-league test, the Seton Hall Prep Pirates (West Orange, NJ) basketball squad defeated the host Paramus Catholic Paladins (Paramus, NJ), by a final score of 63-52.

Next, the Pirates clash with the Payne Tech Lions (Newark, NJ) in a Super Essex - Liberty test, on Tuesday, January 7. Seton Hall Prep will attempt to upgrade on its 7-1 season record.

The Paladins (4-3) will now prepare for their test against Eastside (Paterson, NJ). The Ghosts come into the non-league test with a 2-4 record. In their last test, Eastside went down by Teaneck (Teaneck, NJ), 42-23, in a non-league test.
