The Canby Lancers (Canby, MN) basketball edged the visiting Luverne Cardinals (Luverne, MN), 60-54 in Thursday's non-league bout.
The Lancers now possess a 5-5 record. They play next when they host Minneota for a A Section 3 bout on Friday, January 3. Canby will play a Vikings team coming off a 63-51 league win over Renville County West (Renville, MN). The Vikings record now stands at 7-3.
With the loss, Luverne falls to 2-8 on the campaign. The Cardinals travel to Windom (Windom, MN) to play the Eagles in a AA Section 3 bout on Tuesday, January 7. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 13-1. Windom won 83-62 in their recent league bout against St. James (St. James, MN)
