The crowd at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Middletown Mustangs (Middletown, CA) and the visiting Concord Bears (Concord, CA), observed Middletown's basketball team knock off Concord by a score of 47-34.

The Mustangs (7-5) will now prepare for their bout against Lower Lake (Lower Lake, CA). The Trojans go into the North Central I bout with a 4-8 record. In their last bout, Lower Lake fell by Ygnacio Valley (Concord, CA), 56-40, in a non-league bout.

With the loss, Concord falls to 5-4 on the campaign. The Bears host Berkeley (Berkeley, CA) to play the Yellowjackets in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 7. The Yellowjackets go into the bout with a record of 2-10. Berkeley lost 68-34 in their recent non-league bout against Rancho Cotate (Rohnert Park, CA)
