Next, the Cardinals clash with the Bonita Vista Barons (Chula Vista, CA) in a non-league test, on Friday, January 3. Hoover will attempt to improve on its 7-5 season record. The Barons come into the test with a 2-9 record after their 44-42 non-league win over Eastlake (Chula Vista, CA).

The Eagles (2-10) will now prepare for their test against Calexico (Calexico, CA). The Bulldogs come into the non-league test with a 4-10 record. In their last test, Calexico was routed by La Jolla (La Jolla, CA), 46-37, in a non-league test.
