North Carolina High School Basketball - South Columbus can't hold off West Bladen

January 2, 2025: Bladenboro, NC 28320

The West Bladen Knights nipped the visiting South Columbus Stallions basketball squad by a final score of 54-53 in Thursday's non-league outing.

Next, the Knights face the St. Pauls Bulldogs (St. Pauls, NC) in a 2A Southeastern outing, on Tuesday, January 7. West Bladen will attempt to upgrade on its 3-7 season record. The Bulldogs enter the battle with a 10-2 record after their 54-40 non-league loss to Fairmont (Fairmont, NC).

The Stallions now own a 4-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to East Columbus for a 1A/2A Waccamaw battle on Friday, January 3. South Columbus will meet a Gators squad coming off a 63-30 league loss to East Bladen (Elizabethtown, NC). The Gators record now stands at 5-3.
