In Thursday's non-league contest, the host Clarkson/Leigh Patriots basketball team scored a close 14-13 win over the Battle Creek Braves.

The Patriots (2-7) will now prepare for their contest against Lakeview (Columbus, NE). The Vikings come into the non-league contest with a 1-0 record. In their last contest, Lakeview edged Schuyler (Schuyler, NE), 63-41, in a non-league contest.
