Virginia High School Basketball - Catholic holds off Nansemond River

January 2, 2025: Virginia Beach, VA 23462

In Thursday's non-league contest, the host Catholic Crusaders basketball team scored a close 68-64 triumph over the Nansemond River Warriors.

The Crusaders (2-2) will now prepare for their contest against King's Fork (Suffolk, VA). The Bulldogs go into the non-league contest with a 4-0 record. In their last contest, King's Fork nipped Woodside (Newport News, VA), 52-42, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Warriors confront the Manor Mustangs (Portsmouth, VA) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, January 4. Nansemond River will attempt to better on its 5-3 season record. The Mustangs go into the contest with a 2-4 record after their 65-51 non-league win over Norview (Norfolk, VA).
