California High School Basketball - Homestead nips Santa Cruz

In Thursday's non-league contest, the visiting Homestead Mustangs basketball team scored a close 39-38 triumph over the Santa Cruz Cardinals.
The Mustangs (7-3) will now prepare for their contest against Saratoga (Saratoga, CA). The Falcons go into the contest with a 6-3 record. In their last contest, Saratoga nipped Lincoln (San Jose, CA), 69-45, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Cardinals battle the Soquel Knights (Soquel, CA) in a contest, on Friday, January 17. Santa Cruz will attempt to better on its 2-2 season record.
