Cape Elizabeth Capers (Cape Elizabeth, ME) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Traip Rangers (Kittery, ME), 44-38 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Cape Elizabeth upgrades its record to 6-5 on the campaign. The Capers host Freeport (Freeport, ME) to play the Falcons in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 26. The Falcons come into the bout with a record of 4-7.
Next up, the Rangers play the Seacoast Christian Guardians (South Berwick, ME) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 28. Traip will attempt to upgrade on its 4-7 season record.
