Susitna Valley Rams (Talkeetna, AK) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Chevak Comets (Chevak, AK), 56-54 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Susitna Valley upgrades its record to 3-5 on the campaign. The Rams host Haines (Haines, AK) to play the Glacier Bears in a non-league bout on Friday, January 20. The Glacier Bears come into the bout with a record of 1-6. Haines lost 53-34 in their recent league bout against Wrangell (Wrangell, AK)
