Connecticut High School Basketball - East Hampton tipped by Portland

The Portland Highlanders basketball team scored 64 points and held the visiting East Hampton Bellringers to 62 in the Highlanders league triumph on Friday.

The Highlanders now sport a 7-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host North Branford for a Shoreline contest on Tuesday, January 24. Portland will meet a Thunderbirds team coming off a 67-62 league loss to Coginchaug Regional (Durham, CT). The Thunderbirds record now stands at 4-9.

The Bellringers (6-4) will now prepare for their contest against Old Lyme (Old Lyme, CT). The Wildcats enter the Shoreline contest with a 3-7 record. In their last contest, Old Lyme was nudged by Morgan (Clinton, CT), 56-41, in a league contest.
