In Friday's league outing, the Indian River Braves (Chesapeake, VA) basketball squad edged the visiting Lakeland Cavaliers (Suffolk, VA), by a count of 43-42.
The Braves (5-6) will now prepare for their outing against Nansemond River (Suffolk, VA). The Warriors go into the Southeastern outing with a 9-4 record.
The Cavaliers now hold a 5-8 record. They play next when they host Grassfield for a Southeastern outing on Tuesday, January 24. Lakeland will clash with a Grizzlies squad coming off a 60-55 non-league win over Ocean Lakes (Virginia Beach, VA). The Grizzlies record now stands at 5-7.
