Connecticut High School Basketball - Masuk can't hold off Pomperaug

The Pomperaug Panthers basketball team scored 58 points and restricted the host Masuk Panthers to 52 in the Panthers league victory on Friday.
The Panthers now sport a 3-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Northwestern Regional for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 21. Pomperaug will battle a Highlanders team coming off a 64-57 league win over Thomaston (Thomaston, CT). The Highlanders record now stands at 8-3.
The Panthers (5-6) will now prepare for their contest against Newtown (Newtown, CT). The Nighthawks come into the Southwest contest with a 8-3 record. In their last contest, Newtown edged Torrington (Torrington, CT), 48-39, in a non-league contest.
