Plainfield North Tigers (Plainfield, IL) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Plainfield Central Wildcats (Plainfield, IL), 72-55 in a league bout.

With the win, Plainfield North upgrades its record to 13-7 on the season. The Tigers travel to Lockport (Lockport, IL) to clash with the Porters in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 21. The Porters go into the bout with a record of 13-7. Lockport lost 55-40 in their recent league bout against Lincoln-Way East (Frankfort, IL)

Next up, the Wildcats clash with the Joliet Catholic Hilltoppers (Joliet, IL) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 21. Plainfield Central will attempt to upgrade on its 5-15 season record. The Hilltoppers go into the bout with a 8-10 record after their 72-62 league loss to Marist (Chicago, IL).
