Kansas High School Basketball - Republic County can't hold off Riley County

The Riley County Falcons basketball team scored 36 points and held the host Republic County Buffaloes to 33 in the Falcons non-league triumph on Friday.

The Falcons now sport a 4-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Holcomb for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 21. Riley County will battle a Longhorns team coming off a 55-46 non-league loss to Clay Center (Clay Center, KS). The Longhorns record now stands at 6-4.

The Buffaloes (2-9) will now prepare for their contest against Southeast of Saline (Gypsum, KS). The Trojans enter the non-league contest with a 10-1 record. In their last contest, Southeast of Saline was nudged by Hugoton (Hugoton, KS), 55-47, in a non-league contest.
