Stephenson Eagles (Stephenson, MI) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Superior Central Cougars (Eben Junction, MI), 55-29 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Stephenson upgrades its record to 7-5 on the campaign. The Eagles host Rapid River (Rapid River, MI) to play the Rockets in a Skyline bout on Tuesday, January 24. The Rockets come into the bout with a record of 6-5. Rapid River won 60-55 in their recent non-league bout against Bark River-Harris (Harris, MI)

Next up, the Cougars play the Carney-Nadeau Wolves (Carney, MI) in a Central Upper Peninsula bout, on Tuesday, January 24. Superior Central will attempt to upgrade on its 2-8 season record. The Wolves come into the bout with a 2-7 record after their 67-45 non-league loss to Munising (Munising, MI).
