In Friday's league outing, the United South Central Rebels (Wells, MN) basketball squad edged the host Triton Cobras (Dodge Center, MN), by a margin of 61-58.
The Rebels (9-4) will now prepare for their outing against Waterville-Elysian-Morristown (Waterville, MN). The Buccaneers go into the AA Section 2 outing with a 2-12 record. In their last outing, Waterville-Elysian-Morristown was tipped by Kenyon-Wanamingo (Kenyon, MN), 75-37, in a non-league outing.
The Cobras now own a 2-9 record. They play next when they travel to St. Charles for a AA Section 1 outing on Saturday, January 21. Triton will clash with a Fighting Saints squad coming off a 71-34 non-league loss to Rushford-Peterson (Rushford, MN). The Fighting Saints record now stands at 3-12.
